Today we recognize our staff members who have climbed up the automobile ladder during their tenure. At CMH Mazda Randburg we believe in personal development, we encourage all our staff to partake in in-house training to increase their chances of moving up the automobile ladder.

Bobo (Nathaniel Malopo)

Nathaniel started off as a cleaner in 2004 and today is one of the best Motor Mechanics at our dealership. In 2015, Nathaniel Malapo (Bobo) was finally ready to take that leap and kick start his dream by approaching the then Workshop Manager requesting to be part of that year`s Apprenticeship group. In that year he enrolled with MERSETA Learnership programme to do a Motor Mechanics course. Bobo’s dedication and hard work ensured he passed Level 1 Motor Mechanics. In 2016 Bobo proceeded to do Level 2 and Level 3. By early 2017 Bobo was qualified as a Motor Mechanic. After recognizing his passion and enthusiasm Mazda South Africa opened a career path for him to do a Master Tech Course. By the end of 2018, Bobo finished Level 1 and Level 2. (He is still awaiting results for the Master Technician course) but we have no doubt that he will qualify.

Robert Ntsimane

Joining Ford & Mazda in 2005 as a Workshop Assistant, Robert felt at home in an amazing working environment which pushed him to yearn for more. In 2016 he requested to do the tests to qualify as a Technician and in 2018 at the ripe old age of 49 he qualified.

Ronald Wesley

Ronald joined us in 2018 as a MERSETA trainee, Ronald successfully completed his training with flying colours, this opened the door to his career growth opportunity, he was given a permanent position as a Service Adviser.

Calvin Mathibela

Calvin joined us on the MERSETA programme as a Service Advisor and passed the learnership programme, this earned him a permanent position with us as a Parts salesman, he excelled in this role and surprised us all. We are very proud of our employees who excel at what they do and wish all of them only the best in 2019.

The CMH Mazda Randburg team would like to Introduce Our New Dealer Principal – Mr Andre Jordaan. Andre has been in the motor industry for 14 years and has been with the CMH group for 11 of those years.

Andre is young, ambitious and a real go getter. He started from humble beginnings as a used car salesman back in 2008 and through his hard work and dedication he climbed up the motor industry ladder to where he is to date.

His enthusiasm and passion has earned him the opportunity of being a Mazda Brand Ambassador. For years Andre has strived to promote the Mazda brand through providing excellent customer service and after sales to valued Mazda customers.

Andre takes pride in his work and loves the satisfaction of placing a driver behind the wheel of their dream vehicle. Over the years while with the CMH group Andre has received the following awards: Position improvement award in 2017, Outstanding Performance award in 2018 and Excellent Performance award in the New Car Department.

The CMH Mazda Randburg team is ecstatic to have Andre as their new Dealer Principal. We believe that Andre will use his skills and passion to promote the dealership and take it to new heights. Adopt-a-School Foundation was born from a passion and a desire to be a positive force in changing the future of education in South Africa. From humble beginnings, the Foundation has grown exponentially. With hundreds of schools spanning the entire country, we are able to make a sustainable difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of learners, their families and their communities.

CMH Mazda Randburg adopted Tirisano-Mmogo Primary School in Cosmo City which is less than 15km away from the dealership. With assistance from the principle Mrs Moabelo we were able to ascertain how we could assist the school.

CMH Mazda Randburg donated a human sized chess set to the school in order to improve the learners IQ and problem solving skills. Studies show that chess can improve concentration levels and improve learner’s memory skills whilst teaching them how to plan and think ahead. Not only is chess excellent for its mental attributes but also ensures the children interact with one another on a social level.

The joy on the children’s faces when receiving the chess set was priceless. The excitement from the pupils did not go unnoticed as they wasted no time in partaking in a game of chess. The CMH Mazda Randburg team was proud to have given back to the community and look forward to doing more expeditions in the near future.

This October CMH Mazda Randburg is honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink ribbons. The campaign is to raise Public awareness and educate people about the disease in order to decrease late detection. Cancer affects one in four South Africans, through diagnosis of family, friends, colleagues or self. In order to recognize the warning signs and lower their risks It is important for women to be educated on the disease. Woman also need to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle in order to decrease their risk. It is advised to have an annual medical check-up and cancer screening for early detection as symptoms don’t always appear until the cancer has spread. Whilst not all breast lumps indicate cancer they should be investigated, especially if accompanied by other changes to the breast or the underarm area. Warning signs include lumps, texture changes, thickening, dimpling, changes in shape or size of nipples or breasts, tenderness, discharge, rash or swelling, or one breast suddenly being slightly larger than the other. Research has shown that a regular Breast Self-Examination (BSE) plays an important role in discovering breast cancer compared to finding a random lump to the breast. A BSE should be done once a month, preferably at the same time of day, following a woman’s menstrual cycle. Our DP Anita Sumares is a breast cancer survivor and through her experience she advises all to get a second opinion. In her case the doctor was unable to detect the disease and she was diagnosed by the second doctor nine months later. Anita says in her case she didn’t have any lumps but did have a hard mass on the side of the breast. This goes to show that some people get diagnosed with the disease without having the lump which illustrates the importance of regular checkups. With the holidays approaching, many of us will be travelling to different parts of the country and are likely to feel the pinch of thepetrol price. The price of petrol seems to be constantly increasing and that means that we’re stretched a bit thinner everywhere else. In fact, the price of one litre of petrol in South Africa increased from R7.16 in 2008 to R16.85 in November 2018 which means it’s almost tripled in the last decade. While these facts are all good and well, how do we save fuel and therefore avoid breaking the bank every time we pull into a petrol station? We’ve compiled a few handy tips to help you get your fuel to go further.

Maintain proper tyre inflation:

Check your car owner’s manual and always ensure that your tires are inflated to the proper air pressure level. Improperly inflated tires can reduce your car’s fuel economy by up to five percent in some cases. This is quite simply a complete waste of fuel and money

Make your car more aerodynamic

Remove all the extras when you’re not using them, like roof racks for example. By decreasing the weight of your car and making it more aerodynamic ensures that you’ll burn less fuel as there’s less pressure on the vehicle

Keep the windows closed:

Keeping the windows closed (sorry smokers) will ensure that your car remains aerodynamic. Keeping your windows down while driving creates more drag and wind resistance for your automobile.

Minimize air conditioning

We know when the summer heat hits, you need your aircon but if you can limit your use of the AC in moderation, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much fuel you save.

Replace dirty air filters

Dirty air filters cause your car’s engine to work much harder than it should have too and always results in poor fuel economy. So, make sure you follow the manufacturer’s recommendation for periodically changing out the air filter. A clean air filter allows your engine to perform more efficiently, as well as helping you to save money at the pump.

The Team

Robbie Bradley, our parts manager has over 40years experience in the motor industry and has been with the CMH group for 20years, Robbie interacts with different people from the motor industry on a daily basis from panel beaters to repair shops to company fleet owners. he has a wealth of knowledge and is an expert on Rotary engines and parts. Robbie has won the Merit club award five times in his career and an Academy award in 2003. Robbie Thrives on service delivery acting with precision and efficiency. Sadly, for us Robbie is retiring at the end of the month and we wish him and his family everything of the best.

Anton van Wyk will be taking over as our Parts Manager, he has been with CMH for over 12years. We are excited to have someone with his wealth of knowledge and experience overseeing our parts department, and because no one can do it alone, Anton depends on our parts salesman Prince Mathiba who has 18years experience in the motor industry, he is a driven individual with a passion for Mazda parts.

Prince has completed a parts operations management course to improve his sales skills, Prince enjoys interacting with customers daily and always makes sure he goes the extra mile to meet customer’s needs. Prince has amassed vast product knowledge over the years from working with parts and attended training courses.

It is the month of August, and that means it is Woman’s month. South Africa commemorates Women’s month as a tribute to the thousands of women who marched to the Union buildings on 09 August 1956 in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women.

The motor industry is a male dominated industry and at CMH Mazda Randburg we pride ourselves in that our dealership is female dominated. Our Dealer Principal Anita Sumares has been in the industry for the past 23 years. Through her hard work and consistency Anita has achieved many awards in the industry.


Thandi Masilela our accountant has been in the CMH group since 2015. She started her journey in the industry as a switchboard operator and through her commitment and enthusiasm has climbed up the ladder.


Our Service department is run by a knowledgeable service manager Elize Labuschagne. She has been in the industry for 14years. She started her journey in the CMH group as a service receptionist and has gained the experience and knowledge which has landed her the role of being our service manager.


Patricia Gwebu has been an F & I manager for 8 years, Patricia started in the industry as a warranty clerk, then salesperson and now F&I. She has won several awards for her outstanding performance. She is excellent at providing great service and efficiency.


We have dedicated young ladies in different departments who always strive to make sure that our dealership gives the best service to our client.

Merseta is one of the 21 Sector Education Training Authorities (SETAs) established to promote skills development in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998 (as amended). Each sector reflects a different area of South Africa’s economy. Merseta was established to aid and develop the Engineering, Manufacturing and all associated service areas. Industries that are included in this sector are Auto Manufacturing, Metal, and Engineering, Plastic Industries, Tyre Manufacturing, as well as Motor Retail and Component Manufacturing. With their aid there is a reduction in inequality and unemployment, stabilizing the economy. Most of these learnerships that are offered are for a duration of 12-24months, learners will receive a monthly stipend however these do not usually include transport, meals, and accommodation. The past two years CMH Mazda Randburg has had a few learners from the Merseta learning program, some who have become permanent employees at the end of the program and some we have managed to place them in other dealerships at the end of their program. However, this learnership is not a guarantee of a permanent position once completed, this will have to be the employer’s choice. Candidates will, however, be better equipped to enter the workforce once they have completed a leadership. Below are some of the few Merseta programs offered at CMH. Service advisor The position of Service Advisor forms a crucial part of any dealership’s customer service and must maintain a perfect balance between the Service Reception (where the customer is received and welcomed and also where the customer’s vehicle is collected after the service), the Workshop and the Customer. Our Service Advisor course covers all the major areas of the role of a Service Advisor encompasses and how he/she must conduct him/herself. With the right amount of experience, service advisors may advance to a position such as Service Manager. Mechanic Apprenticeship This is an important place to start one’s training, initially you will work under the supervision of the technician.The day to day duties include the servicing cars and inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety. As you undertake training and master your skills you will pursue a career such as a Technician. Due to the extent of the work and skill that needs to be acquired, Apprentices go on yearly training courses for several weeks away from the dealership supervised by expert teachers and after 4 years, provided they pass every module and write the final technician exam, they qualify as a technician. It does not stop there, they can go further and qualify as Master Technician and also attend the Mazda Southern Africa technician training that focuses on Mazda vehicles. We would like to congratulate one of our learners Abel Matlaisane who joined our dealership in February 2017 and has obtained NQF level 4 certificate in Automotive Service and Sales. We wish him the best and we would like to welcome two learners joining us this year.

Our Vehicle service department consists of friendly and professional service advisors and qualified technicians, who attend to all your service and repairs. Our Service department is run by a knowledgeable service manager Elize Labuschagne who has been in the industry for over 14years.The service department is open from 7 am – 5:30 pm weekdays. We are also open for service on Saturday’s from 8:30am-1pm. Mazda Southern Africa will repair or replace any part that fails to perform its normal function without any charge to the vehicle owner for the lifetime of the vehicle being possessed by the owner. The Mazda Lifetime Parts warranty applies to those replacement parts fitted by CMH Mazda Randburg and fully paid for by the vehicle owner; so, the vehicle owner will be required to produce the original repair invoice when returning to the dealer for repairs under this warranty. This non-transferable Mazda Lifetime Parts Warranty is an additional cover that will take effect after the 3 year / unlimited km factory warranty expires. Training for our service technicians is on an ongoing basis as new vehicles go into production monthly. One of our technicians Bobo Nataniel Malapane recently qualified and was awarded a certificate from Mazda Southern Africa as a Mazda technician and we are proud of Bobo, who started as a cleaner a few years ago and because he is an ambitious young man he enrolled in one of the MERSETA apprentice programs and four years after his enrolment he qualified as a technician and still continues to further his studies and currently aiming to be a Senior Master technician. From the time you drop off your car in the morning until you pick it up, we ensure that we keep you posted and updated with the work we do on your vehicle.
