Who would have guessed that on the 1st of October this year MAZDA S.A was celebrating 3 YEARS as a stand-alone manufacturer? On the 1st of October 2014 MAZDA S.A went independent. To make their Brand known, they relaunched with the famously known new MAZDA 3 model. To this day, the company is still doing well in terms of unit selling and the brand itself too, without any hiccups. The product is doing so well from the relaunching of the brand and the new MAZDA3, that only one product improvement was done to the model and that was to beautify it with LED Fog Lights to enhance its muscular beauty.
They also added one model to the MAZDA 3 family pack: the ASTINA PLUS. This comes with advanced safety features, such as Smart City Brake Support and Lane Keep Assist.
To find out more about these features you can come through to our Dealership at 109 Monty Naicker Street, Durban or visit our website here www.cmhmazda.co.za/dealer/mazda-durban/
To celebrate the success of our new venture, we’ve decided to pamper our most loyal customers with the not-to-be-missed Best Specials Ever for this month ONLY on the MAZDA 3.
CMH Mazda Durban participated at the AMASHOVA Durban Classic Race for the first time. The race took place on the 22nd of October 2017 from Cato Ridge and ended at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. It was divided into 3 different categories of different lengths to ride. OUR Durban Team confidentially entered the 2nd furthest race, the 65 km one. You can see the real confidence this Team holds since they were in fact new to the competition.
The Team participants trained endlessly with high hopes to not underperform and to finish as a whole, proving yet again how this Dealership works together to obtain results and work well as a Team.
For some they were a bit skeptical about the 65 km but surprised us all with the results. As the count down to the start approached, palms were sweaty, tightly gripped to the bikes horns and anxiety levels were high. But as the race began it all became second nature to them as they started paddling and being part of the pack.
As the race went on, many obstacles were experienced such as tyre punctures that needed attending to and on the more extreme side, legs that were distinctly unimpressed with paddling, requiring some therapy, but eventually our Team overcame all of this.
For some, the goal of reaching the finish line sometimes became blurry. Reaching the top of hills became a mission because they had run out of gears, but then determination and persistence kicked in as they visualized the Moses Mabhida finish line.
Some were disappointed with their finish time and some weren’t because they remembered that the main point of a bike race is not how fast you go but that you GO!
Well done Team CMH Mazda Durban for your determination and dedication! It sure did pay off! You’re not only good at delivering cars, as most of us know, but you also make time to socialize and perform excellent as the great Team you are!

The current Mazda CX-5 has been a fairly successful model for the Japanese carmaker. It has received positive reviews thanks to attractive styling and sporty driving dynamics, and helped Mazda ride the current wave of SUV popularity. So the second-generation 2017 Mazda CX-5 unveiled at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show has a lot of work to do.
One of the plus points of the previous CX-5 was its styling, which is one of the first applications of Mazda’s “Kodo” design language. Its success may be why Mazda made relatively subtle changes to the new model. It’s a bit wider and lower than before, and wears the slimmer headlights and reshaped grille from the larger CX-9 SUV. On the CX-5, that grille does look a bit like the one used on newer Acura models, though.
The CX-5 will be available with a six-speed automatic transmission or, unusually for a mainstream SUV, a six-speed manual. As in the current CX-5, the manual may only be available in base front-wheel drive models, though. In addition to an optional all-wheel drive system, the CX-5 will get Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control. It adjusts torque in response to steering inputs, which Mazda says helps improve cornering by managing g-forces.
