More About The Mazda CX-30
This new compact SUV forms part of our CX Range and slots between the Mazda CX- 3 and Mazda CX-5. Following the launch of the all-new Mazda3, the Mazda CX-30 is the second model in Mazda’s next generation line-up. Combining the bold proportions of an SUV with the sleek profile of a coupe, its styling is a sophisticated evolution of Mazda’s KODO design philosophy, while it’s spacious and versatile cabin ensures it has the practicality and comfort demanded by customers in this popular segment. The Mazda CX-30 represents an entirely new design, combining the bold proportions of an SUV with the sleek profile of a coupe. By eschewing character lines in favour of the movement of surfaces, the Mazda CX-30 achieves styling with both the beauty of a work of art and a powerful sense of dynamism. The front grille of the Mazda CX-30 features a triangular motif pattern. The size and pattern of the radiator grille’s triangular motif are tightly controlled to show rich variations according to the viewing angle and changes in light. The wide and dynamic stance of the Mazda CX-30 is reminiscent of a sports car. The rear tail lamps have a sharp design which give them an energetic look. The black cladding on the lower body creates an impression of stability, ruggedness and power appropriate to an SUV. The design of the Mazda CX-30’s cabin is based on Mazda’s human-centred design philosophy, and traditional Japanese architecture with its use of Ma, or empty space. The cockpit is symmetrical and firmly centred on the driver, with all three dials in the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and the centre display correctly angled towards the driving position for optimum visibility and ease of operation with minimum distraction. Careful attention was paid to the craftsmanship of each and every detail, from materials to the finishes, to create a refined, rich interior space. Controls and switches are designed with a consistent and unified feel that provides the driver with an intuitive operation of the cabin. The centre armrest allows for plenty of elbowroom, ensuring greater comfort for drivers with a larger physique. The armrest storage box has been designed with a lid that slides backwards easily and effortlessly, allowing for ease of access into the storage compartment. The Mazda CX-30 front cup holders are positioned in front of the shift lever to ensure a smooth line of movement between the shift lever and commander control while driving. A generous distance of 740mm between the front seats is 50mm greater than in the Mazda CX-3, and on par with that of the Mazda CX-5. The shapes of seat cushions and B-pillars have been optimised to accommodate the movement of passengers during entry and exit. Moreover, side seals have been added to the bottom of the rear doors, preventing occupants from dirtying their clothing when exiting a muddy vehicle. Luggage capacity is a generous 295 litres, enough to simultaneously accommodate a large, global-standard baby buggy and a carry-on bag. The boot opening width is 1,030mm, while the height of the loading lip is just 731mm, for easy loading and unloading of heavy or bulky cargo. The Mazda CX-30 features the very latest version of MAZDA CONNECT™ (MZD Connect), which combines an 8.8-inch display screen which is controlled by the centrally mounted Commander rotary dial. The Mazda Connect system aims to facilitate the safe use of the multitude of information available on smartphones while driving. Key features of the MZD Connect System are Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM, Voice command, Bluetooth connectivity (phone and audio pairing) and 2 USB ports. Standard on the Active and Dynamic models is the 8-speaker sound system and the 12-speaker BOSE® sound system on the Individual model. Other standard features of Mazda CX-30 range are Head-Up Display (HUD), a 7-inch TFT reconfigurable cluster display, keyless ignition start, Cruise control, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) and Auto on/off LED Headlamps with auto-levelling.
